Everything you need to know about mobile servicing with JSM

Most services take between 1.5 and 2.5 hours depending on the vehicle and the work required. You'll be given a more accurate time estimate when you book.

You don't need to be present throughout, but we do ask that someone is available at the start to hand over the vehicle and keys, and at the end to go over any findings. Many customers simply leave us to it while they work from home.

As a Castrol Certified Mobile Mechanic, we exclusively use Castrol's professional-grade engine oils, matched precisely to your vehicle's manufacturer specification. Castrol oils are trusted by vehicle manufacturers worldwide and are the same quality you'd find in a main dealer workshop. Alongside Castrol oils, we use OEM or OEM-equivalent filters and parts throughout. The correct grade and specification is always used, never a generic substitute.

Unfortunately we are unable to fit customer-supplied parts. Our insurance requires that all parts are sourced and supplied by us, and it also allows us to ensure that everything fitted to your vehicle meets the quality and safety standards we work to.

We recommend following your vehicle manufacturer's service schedule, typically every 12 months or every 10,000 to 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some modern vehicles with variable service intervals may go longer; your handbook will confirm the intervals for your specific model.

Yes, the service indicator is reset as standard at the end of every service using our professional diagnostic equipment. This includes vehicles with complex service reminder systems such as BMW CBS, VAG service intervals, and Mercedes ASSYST.
